How do I know when it's time to come in for a checkup?

We recommend that you visit the dentist every six months. Regular professional checkups and cleanings can help fight off decay, as well as plaque and tartar buildup, which can cause gingivitis.

I brush every day, but my breath just is not fresh. Is there anything I can do?

Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is a common problem that can be treated a number of ways. Daily flossing, twice-daily brushing and professional cleanings are possible solutions. If your regular dental care routine does not freshen your breath, contact our office so that we can determine the best course of treatment for you.

Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?

Daily flossing should be a key component of your at-home dental care. Regular brushing alone cannot completely clean your teeth, and plaque loves to hide between teeth and at the gum line.. Flossing will not only help remove food particles in those hard-to-reach places, it will also reduce plaque buildup and improve the health of your gums.
